Most Danes have 6 weeks of vacation during the year. In my case, it's paid vacation, meening I get full pay even when on vacation :) That's fairly normal, though.

I like to travel (don't we all) and filming is just a hobby. I haven't been abroad since 2001 (when I went to Moscow), so it was a needed vacation. I traveled with my mother (I know, kinda' pathetic :) so, car rental and accomodation was split between us. I spent about 3.000,- CAD in total on this 15 day vacation (equal to one month salary after taxes). I'm not rich :) salaries are just generally higher over here. Cost of living is higher too, of course...

Cheers mate, I downloaded 8.0d, but it still doesn't seem to want to read them :( do you know if it can be recorded in plain old .avi until programs like that catch up?

The camcorder will only record in AVCHD (.M2TS). However, it really should work with 8.0d, so it must be some other problem with your PC. I've tried downloading the pro trial as well (8.0b pro) - that works too.

Can you play back the files in the supplied software? (InterVideo WinDVD SE).

This was shot with a Canon HG10.

Only NTSC users (North America) have to do pull-down. Since I'm in Europe on a PAL system, I don't have to do pull-down.
