You can change – Shot on the South Bank. This was unplanned short and my thanks go to Philip Bloom one for his cameo appearances but also allowing me to tag along this day. We had a few permission problems with security but they were resolved which then allowed limited access to shoot so both he and I took advantage I shot this short and Phil was doing other footage for something else. Set to the music of ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ by The Verve. Thank you also to everyone for their support on my last short If I lay here – Enjoy this one the next is in pre-production

No, but seriously, I like the shots you & Phillip took for this video, but for the Verve, not all of them seem to fit the mood of this song - maybe it is just me?
For me, this song tells a significant story in Richard Ashcroft's life that was a real struggle for him. The video doesn't give off that sort of vibe - well, not at least until the end segment with the reconciling young couple ;-)
I love the shot's and that Phillip Bloom gave you the bird :D
Nice one mate :)
I offer this feedback in a positive way and I hope this does not distract you from your goals...
your aspect ratio looks wrong, squished! other that that I hate you for stealing my woman eating the ice cream shot. bugger
Filmmakers don't steal, they borrow.
At some shots it looks like you had auto iris on...
I love the couple at the end, makes me wonder what they where talking about, but in slowmotion everything looks dramatic...
"Ignore that guy taking pictures"
"Sure, but don't tell my wife about us.. OK?"
"Are ya gonna marry me?"
"We'll see, my wife has all the money and I gotta take it easy, so she won't get suspicious...."
(the rest I could not make out... some cussing words by her and he said "sure baby, I'll mary you as soon as I get rid of the bitch"
Well, I did the best I could under the circumstances :)
you can shoot.
The music does feel a little extraneous...I'm sure several soundtracks might work as well... but it's certainly a treat for the eyes.
Some really good shots, I won't mention the ice cream (I thought that was a man). I especially liked the shot of you and the camera, where you were giving the finger. Also the close up of the centre of the wheel, the low shot on westminster bridge (you must have been in the gutter) and the couple at the end, finish it off beautifully, with a nice place for your credits (I didn't see Philip's name there though
Anyway I don't want to waffle on. I would be interested in knowing how you got round security? I've been kicked off there a few times, as soon as the tripod comes out.
I look forward to your next short.
Enjoyed this - think it caught a London vibe very well - London *is* a little bit dark as often as not and Bittersweet hits the nail on the head. Was back in London for the first time in a long time a few weeks ago, and on the South Bank - the atmosphere felt similar (some shots in Flickr). Thank you for sharing.
well done.
