Wow, it's done! It looks really good. I'm going to miss these weekly updates of your progress, it's been good coming along for the ride with you. Fantastic work Ben.

Thanks for your support, Buck! These updates were added motivation for me to keep making progress, if only to see if I could out do myself from the previous week.

  • This has been a really fun journey. You and your wife should be sweater models <3

I would make a lousy model. Katie took lots and lots of photos, but all of my poses were exactly the same. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though.

I'm so happy to see you have finished Ben....10 weeks....it has been a journey with you - and to see all hard work you have put into it over all this time....I remember at the beginning when you had to undo some that you had started......lol.......but it's done now and I must say I am impressed. You've done a wonderful job and your patience has indeed paid off.....well done mate - I take my wooly ht off to you....and it looks good on you too....*THUMBS UP MATE*

Thanks Mike. Yeah, after that first week, I was really wondering if I would ever make it to the end. This has definitely given me a better appreciation of the cost of handmade knitted items.

well, yes I see your point...I used to buy a lot of hand made stuff in Ireland when I was there.....the old folk love knitting in Ireland...he he - just don't lose it....!

beautiful experience, and very well done. your gentleness permeates much of your work. the sweater is top notch, and i can appreciate the skill as i have a few weavers & hookers around me, (as we playfully call those relatives). soon we'll all be in brightly colored futuristic rubber outfits that cling to the body like a second skin, wondering where we lost our heritage? (except for my kin, they'll still be running around in mismatched crocheted socks and that old pair of levis with white t-shirts).

I think I have some relatives that will also stand out for not wearing those rubber outfits. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks! I got to wear it a couple of times, and it was pretty comfortable. I'm looking forward to cooler times so I can wear it again.

I love the song you used for this :D I felt like it was just a matter of time before the shot of you running through an open field towards your sweater came up.

I have to say - that is a very, very sweet sweater :) I wanna wear something that *I* made. That must be so nice. And so much attention to detail *thumbs up*

    You iz awesome, Ben.

Thanks for the comment, Mike. I have to admit that it is a pretty cool feeling knowing that you are wearing something that you put together yourself.
