Just guessing, but I think it would be at least a 6 to 10 hour video if he recorded in real-time.

The point of these time-lapses is not for us to understand what he is doing, but to get an idea of the overall process. Plus its just sweet to watch it go from nothing to something so fast.

hi! thanks for your comment. in fact, this one has been a pretty fast one, with 3 hours work all in all. and there is one advantage in recording at high frame rates - the files stay rather small so i am able to squeeze them through my super-slow internet-connection. :-) but you are right - it's the overall process that i like to show, not so much the details. but perhaps i'll do some little more in-depth timelapse-tutorials in the future.
