California Governor Arnold Schwartzenegar has promoted several health plans the past two years mandating that all California citizens buy health insurance from one of the thousands of insurance companies operating in the state. Because insurance companies are taking a large portion of the health care dollars to pay for administration we recommend he foster a Single Payer Medicare like plan that would eliminate the greed factor in health care.
We commend the Governor for trying to come to grips with health care in California , but feel he is not going to succeed unless he eliminates the insurance companies and embraces a Medicare like plan to give health care decisions back to the professionals health care providers and their patients.
