Aid from India, Malaysia and other regional countries continues to arrive into Burma. But frustration continues to grow over getting it to where it's needed.
U.N. officials are extremely frustrated by the junta's slow delivery of aid to more than 1.5 million victims of Cyclone Nargis.
Two more American aid flights were due to leave today but the regime is keeping most foreign aid workers away from the devastated Irrawaddy delta.
U.N. humanitarian affairs chief John Holmes says a problem with visas for U.N. relief officials has improved somewhat but more are required.
Western diplomats say that France is considering asking the 15-nation U.N council to adopt a non-binding statement calling on Burma to lift all restrictions on foreign aid workers.
