WHITE RED PANIC - TEASER
A few images from a short I'm putting the finishing touches on a the moment. It's a little thriller about two guys mixed up in the wrong side of life, and the toll it takes on their character and soul.
You know, because I like to keep things light.
Shot on the HV20

Thanks man.
kubrick rocked.
hahaha
You're incredible.
Can't wait to share the whole film.
what correcting have you done to those clips?
looks amazing!!!
good job cant wait to see it
and thanks dude.
Technical questions...
only hv20 ? no lens added ?
how can you get such colors ?
I used the canon wideangle lense for some of it.
The colors is a mix of CC and practical choices on set.
And what a superb quality you can squeeze out of a hv20... Looks just like you used a pro cam.
Say what people will about Bay -- but he's got one of the best eyes in the business. So thanks. ;)
thanks man.
and thanks again.
whenever i film 24p its too blurry. and your video looks like 10x sharper than mine... what program do you use?
also i would like to know how you get super super widescreen lol.
Sony Vegas.
i have sony too!
what settings do you render in, if you dont mind
and how do you get the black bars? i tried cropping the vid, but when i upload it to vim, they go away and vimeo stretches the cropped vid so its vertically stretched

thanks!
Use pan/crop tool -- and render out to regular 720p resolution. Should add black bars. Hmm.. Not sure why it's not doing it for you.
Setting wise I'm not sure off hand. Will have to double-check sometime.
thanks guys

its horrible
Your stuff is great. Very flattered.
no filters. all about composition and lighting, then color-graded in Sony Vegas.
Thanks a lot.
Bro it even sounds like im sitting in a theater.....
awesome !!!! i dont even know how to work the shutter deal thingy.....
AWESOME !!!!!
Huge fan of your composing work btw.
this one'll be up sooner than later. ;)
Nice piece of kit combined with some great skills, clearly.
Hurry up and upload the full short dude!
and thanks for your contribution in the final short btw. lifesaver.
And this is a very, very effective teaser. Can't wait for the finished product.
not giving away all the trade secrets here. ;) plus i plain don't remember at the moment. Play around with your quicktime codecs/bitrate. You'll get something you like.
good eye.
I wish you could use cine, and still have full control over the shutter -- but you can't.
In the end shutter was way more important to me.
and thanks Sam.
the few selected shots worked perfectly throughout..
and wow, cannot believe this is the HV20
So thanks Karl. ;)
not sure yet.
I'd like to hear audio from it though. Dialog.
The teaser sounds great but if the movie's sound
is amateur, the whole thing goes down the toilet.
One thing about the HV20, is that it isn't the best camera for sound. I'm hoping that you have great audio because the trailer looks wonderful.
Soon.
I'll be looking for the finished short!
I keep saying it, but the hv20 is quite the little toy. If it wasn't for the rolling shutter, I would have no real complaints in using it.
Thanks.
Yeah, it has a lot problems/limitations though -- but for the price it's unbeatable.
