Hello, I am sticky sweater. Today, we will discuss media bias as it relates to revolutionary movements. Also, we will discuss what this can teach us about winning battles in our war against scientology.

People expect the media to be unbiased and show all viewpoints without injecting their own opinions. The truth is that this is neither accurate or desirable. Before you condemn me, allow me to make my case.

For a media outlet to pretend to be unbiased is, at least in the philosophical sense, dishonest. The media will always be biased against groups which threaten it's existence.

Dictatorships, government regulation, revolutionaries and others as well, consistently threaten free speech. So the media is already biased against them. They should be honest about this and admit it.

The media takes strong positions on issues it deems important to the survival of democracy and preservation of liberty. Therefore, the purpose of the press is to seek justice not truth.

This takes us back to our main topic: Why does the media treat scientology as though they are a legitimate organization? The documentation is out there for all to see.

Consistently we have seen news articles provide the benefit of the doubt to Scientology, not its critics. This would make sense if we were dealing with a legitimate religion, but all of the classic articles from the past 50 years condemn them.

As I said before, much of this is due to ignorance. If we are able to bring light to their abuses, the media will take sides.

The nightline interview last month was especially important as it marked the elite media's testing of the waters.

CNN is another example of how the media is beginning to fight with us as well. They are still maintaining the illusion of neutrality, reporting only the news which people are interested in. The truth however is clear, they know Scientology is evil or corrupt or whatever you want to call it.

The media trys to claim it shows all sides of an argument, but that is not true. Why don't they show nazis or hard core communist on television. The reason may be related to ratings, but it is also about context. Everyone knows they are disreputable and intellecutally dishonest.

We need to show the media that Scientology is also disreputable, dishonest, and actively working toward supression of free speech.
