"NOLA Mistakes" is a political video essay that offers a look into an eerie future for New Orleans after being left with just a few tourists, empty streets and trolleys, ghostly lifeless buildings, a dead river, and cemeteries filled with citizens who died disappointed that we can't get hold of our crime problem, fix our educational system, elect dedicated and competent leaders, or bring our people home after Hurricane Katrina.

If her citizens give up, New Orleans will be left with a bunch of lifeless stuff, people from somewhere else, and her Cities of the Dead.

Filmed the Tuesday after Memorial Day with a helmet cam from atop one of my bicycles.

I grew up in New Orleans. You rode within a half block of my house (S.St. Patrick) when you came down Canal from the cemetery end. Nostalgic and sad at the same time.

It's all in how I spin the vid. Different music and without the cemetery and it would be a whole different mood.

Thanks for the comment. That vid is unappreciated for the most part.
