A teen from Ontario speaks about her experience during Christmas in an Ontario CAS approved foster care facility. It is a chilling. This segment is part of this teen’s video testimony in which she describes neglect, physical assaults on children by foster parents and how CAS workers attempt to force drugs on children. For those children who are forced on drugs, she describes how the kids spiral down to a worse condition compared to when they first came in, never to be the same kid again. She describes how CAS workers routinely turn their backs on the complaints from kids with many cases of abuse in CAS care being unreported.

While Ontario’s CAS agencies advertise that they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, testimony from this teen and others like her paints a totally different story.

The Government of Ontario should be absolutely ashamed to be allowing Canadian children to be abused in this manner with the abuse being funded by the taxpayers of Ontario. The Ombudsman of Ontario should be given the legal authority to oversee Ontario’s CAS agencies, many of which are out of control and unaccountable. Tens of millions of tax dollars are being wasted annually in Ontario by CAS agencies to needlessly destroy children and their families in Ontario.
