1. BMW 335i HD
This is just a short video that I made with a good buddy who is the driver. My E90 BMW 335i's modifications include the Juice Box Stage 1 Performance Tuner (JB1), and the Burger Motorsports intake.

My main goal was to capture the same look and feel that the guys from the super popular TV show "Top Gear" achieve. If you have seen the show, you know just how good these guys are, from their amazing cinematography, to super entertaining dialogue.

I tried to use some of the same types of angles that they utilize, and I hope I succeeded.

Equipment used was a completely stock Canon HV30 set to Auto everything, and a $40 tripod. This was my third time using the HV30, and I must say that it is amazing. Software used was Apple's Final Cut Studio 2 on a 24 inch iMac.

I hope you enjoy it, and any constructive criticism is welcomed with open arms.

you should try using the focus lock, the amount of autofocus makes it seem un-proffesional (no offense). Also, to get the Top Gear look, you should try a vignette, and some over-saturation, as well as color correcting the sky seperate from the ground, for example, giving the sky a very yellow look, but keeping the ground normal. Also, I would try switching camera angle a little more often.

    Great video though!

Love it, great video! I am no professional, but the autofocus worked great in this clip. E.g. at 00:59 when the window opened it changed focus to the dashboard. Did you have it in regular AF or IAF? Love Top Gear also, however, the guys there were down on the E90 styling a couple of years ago. Have they grown to like it now? Not sure to congratulate you on your new HV30 or 335i.

Everything was set to Auto on the camera, so I assume it was AF.

I still don't think that the guys from Top Gear like the E90, but no matter, I love it. I am glad you enjoyed the video!

Great attempt at a Top Gear style..next time, try some different locations like an abandoned warehouse area or something. Top Gear always uses stunning locations as well as great shots.

Yeah, the tripod has to lubricated because it tends to stick, and it's hard to get a smooth pan because of it.

    Thanks for the comment!

loved the actual driving part of the video! Your car has a really neat BMW sound to it! Love to see and hear more like that!

You're right, the twin turbo I6 does sound different when comparing it to the N52 (06'/07' 325/328/330) engine for example.

I'm planning on making another video soon, and I hope I can make another good video and I'll be sure to include more driving in them!

    Thanks for your comment!

Thats really cool, Liked the car and the choice of music.

Only criticisms would be it was a bit slow paced at times, and there isnt enough long shots of the car in the first half of the video, look forward to seeing some more

Is the exterior color monaco blue? In opening shots, it looks like jet black, but later shots show the deep blue radiance of the paint. Beautiful!
