The Swiss national flying team, the Patrouille Suisse, were regular guests and a great favourite with the Berlin public. Once again this year the six Tiger pilots delighted visitors with their skills. Because of strict safety regulations in Germany certain manoeuvres such as the "crossover” and the "goal" could not be included in the programme, but nevertheless, at the ILA2008 the Swiss air force pilots were again able to provide a breathtaking display, for example when four of the jets flew together just three metres apart at 650 kph so that, from the ground, it looked as if there was only one aircraft.
