I shot and edited this video of a small stream in Merrimack, NH with my Sony FX1.

The trails were very well maintained, providing easy access to a variety of locations and angles. The only sounds that could be heard were from the rushing water over the rocks and the wind gently blowing through the trees. In this kind of environment the breeze help keep the black flys and mosquitoes away.

I came across a fly fisherman trying his luck in the crystal clear waters, patiently waiting for a nibble. He was gracious enough to let me film him.

The only gear I brought with me was my Sony-FX1 camera and tripod. I really need to build myself a dolly track. After I collected enough footage, I brought it back to my studio to edit. The editing was done with FCP, next color correcting each shot and finally applying GenArts FilmEffect, I really like this sparks it give the footage the texture I'm looking for.

This location has so much to shoot, I can't wait to come back this fall when all the foliage is bursting with color. The winter will also provide spectacular scenes especially after a fresh snow fall.
