Overall, I like it. The editing and camera work on the band was excellent. I really liked the focus pulls.

The only part I didn't care for were the shots of the girl. It just seemed like a girl running for no reason. It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the video. And I think the effect on her shots was too heavy. I think if you inter cut different shots of her with the band more instead of just having her run on the chorus it would be better. Like how you approached the end.

Aside from that, really good first music video. Keep it up! And a pretty cool song too. I think I'll check out the bands myspace.

    Thanks Chris!
    Much appreciate your comment.
the 'inter-cut' idea sounds pretty good - maybe when i'll have some time i try it (it probably wont happen soon though).

got 2 more one the way, so stay tuned ;)

    Dominik,

I really like your video. I think the girl running was good, I get a sense she is running to heaven. I think it could be a little darker in the first run then later brightens up as she is closer. Her turning around at the end was a nice touch. I would suggest this be where your brightes background would be as if she is turning around one last time before meeting her lord and goes to heaven.

The music is good and the feel is right for what is being said in the lyrics. I think everything else is prefect otherwise. I think you made the right choice of putting her in the bridge and leaving the rest of the shots to the band. Placing her in the bridge with the almost angels singing is excellent.

One thought, I think instead of the black in the begining where the music starts you should pause a moment and have her lying on the ground (full color no effects). After that you could fade to black while the music starts then focas on the band. On the woman running start with very low lighting effects and work your way to that glow as if she is running towards heaven. That would give purpose on why she is running and making the pieces fit.

    Excellent work,
    Ross
