Here's the short we made for Seattle International Film Festival in 2007. It was commissioned as part of their Fly Film program. We had 4 days to shoot, 3 days to edit and create the animations. All cast, crew, props, locations, and actors had to be donated to the project.

DigitAlchemist 4 months agowow it's amazing,is it possible to post the workflow thx -
Thinklab 4 months agoSure, What part of the workflow? Here's the overall flow... It was shot on the HVX200 with a 35mm lens adapter and Nikon prime lenses. The footage was imported and rough cut on Final Cut Pro. We used storyboards as placeholders for the animations. The placeholders helped us to figure out the timing and start working on the music. We then created the animations in After Effects and exported these back to FCP to replace the placeholders. While animating the music was created and tweaked. On the last day we took our final FCP project to a place called "Modern Digital" to be color corrected. We left Modern with an HD tape that went to "Bad Animals", where the audio mixing was done. That's it. -
