I expected to see color at some point, maybe when the strings kick in. The misty rusty scenes were awesome. Water in slow motion fits the song very well.
Congratulations, you've just made an Awesome Video.

what camera did you use to film the non-generated shots?
  • Its all generated. For the first part I used a cheap digicam and flash light plus a lot of computer work.

    beautiful ...........
  •
  • The "non-generated" shots are also generated. I took photos of the "noise drops" infront of a black molton and later composed it in After Effects.

  • Realflow + 3D Studio (no mental ray) + After Effects

Diver! This is sooo fucking great... Damn it! This would have been a wonderful demo. Why do all the good guys leave the scene, just before they become artists?

Man, That was so good. Great use of RealFlow. I was utterly fooled, and thought they were real drops. Congrats, dude, that was amazing. The song was great, it kept my eyes focused on the screen, and it was totally relaxing. I really love Vimeo, I was introduced to it recently, and I love the great video's produced and uploaded to this site. People are very nice and encouraging here, unlike the rude and offensive people on YouTube. Great Job man, keep up the great work!

I've been a vimeo-ite for several months, and it's been awhile since I've finished watching a video and didn't know what to say.

This is an amazing work of art! Of course I could be bias, since I'm obsessed with Radiohead. =P

    awesome!
nice idea, it fits perfectly radiohead's idea of video.
I start workin with realflow..but my mac took 4 hrs for a slow-motion of 8 sec! without DOF!!
how long does it takes? i mean, yours is with DOF also..
  • Thanks! I faked the DOF. I rendered everything layered without DOF. And blurred the images (layer) in After Effects. But it was difficult, ...all the reflections and the compositing. It took me 6 month form start to finish. I have to learn RealFlow and the reflection-thing in 3dStudio. I got a DualCore PC and 4 Gigs or Ram but sometimes it tooks 12 hours to render 10 seconds of film. I previewed a lot... which means.: I rendered images in 320 x 240 pixel... without any filters, etc... and with less frames. 12 or 4 frames per second. for a preview.
