Fünf ‘n’ Twist is a narrative videodance that chronicles the emotional turbulence of a teenage couple at the prom. Using dance, ritualized movement, evocative sounds and imagery, this classically American rite of passage will be depicted as a metaphor for the adolescence of the country itself as it lurches clumsily towards a cultural adulthood.

This study is of the last scenes of the film in which the boy and girl have fled the prom and run into a wild overgrown city park to face their fears and desires headlong. The film documents the inner landscapes of the two characters as they complete a sexual, emotional, and psychological transformation into symbolic adulthood.
