Peña de Bernal and Paella Festival
Peña de Bernal or the Rock of Bernal is the third tallest monolithic rock after the Rock of Gibraltar (in Southern Spain) and the Sugarloaf Mountain (Brazil). It's located near the town of San Sebastián Bernal in the state of Querétaro, Mexico (about 2.5 hours north of Mexico City). People can climb about halfway to a small chapel there.
We also spent half a day at the Paella Festival held at the Freixenet Winery (May 24-25, 2008). It's located in the Ezequiel Montes county, about 20 min. away from Bernal. Gastronomy schools, restaurants and other compete for awards for the best paellas. There's also live music playing.
Shot on a Canon HV20 at 24p and color corrected the shots. Since I was running low on tape I took some video with my Sony DSC-T100 digital still camera which I used for the small overlays (during the lightshow and at the end for the credits).
