Where Robots Lay to Rest; or Rest, Robots! Rest!

In case you don't read this text, be sure to stick around for the "super secret" surprise ending.
I recently purchased one of Karen's panels. This is not news. But I was waiting to put together a video until I had it framed. Unfortunately, the frame's not going to happen immediately, so I thought I'd try out Final Cut Express (3.5.1) and see how I could get it to work for me.
So really, this was an exercise in FCE. I obviously need some practice with it. I'm too used to iMovie HD, and missed some of the easy features there (like the "real time" previews of effects and the easy titles), but I really liked how I could do more with FCE. I'm excited to give it another chance or two.
My main problem with putting this video together was that I edited first, and then tried to find music. Big mistake. I don't think I quite recovered from it, but alas, I've already spent a lot of time on it and need to move on.
Music: 'One Day, Robots Will Cry' by Cobra Starship!
and 'Opening Credits' from 'Jurassic Park'

This opens a whole new world of editing for you. :-) Lucky for you, you have an entire community for tech support.
Also, I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda impressed with the titles. I've never done titles that move. :-) Wow look at you go.
Mei just looking.
I must say I am impressed with this. My first attempt at FCP was not as successful not to mention that I stared at a cluster of weird buttons and keys for hours before figuring out what anything did. It's like setting a kid lose in a labyrinth.
But seriously, this video was cool and I'm excited that you are going to be using FCE now...I'm not exactly sure what the difference between FCP and FCE are, but all I know is when I use FCP the only things I use are markers, dissolves, cuts, and colour correction...so you probably have all those too...
:-)
