Edited highlights of the Caledonian Challenge which is Scotland's premier endurance event. The Challenge comprises teams of between three to six to walk 54 miles along the West Highland Way non-stop over a 24-hour period. The Challenge is now in its 11th year and has grown from 17 walkers raising £16,000 in 1997 to more than 1,500 walkers braving the trail raising nearly a £1million for charity supporting the work of the Scottish Community Foundation.
