I was down in Blacksburg on a business trip and had the opportunity to take my RC AP plane. The first evening we arrived was perfectly calm so I got very smooth video on my first flight.

Hi, Realy nice video. Is it realy FPV? I mean do you record the fly with a HD camera and transfer HD signal on a ground station?

    thank's

Yes, it's FPV. I use a Sanyo HDA1 for the HD recording on the plane. For FPV I use a KX 191 micro camera to a 900 MHz Tx to the ground so I can fly from the image.

    What fun!

Ok, thank's. You haven't a video out on your camera? I was thinking about buying a HD camera as FX35 to send the HD video signal to video TX And I would like to know is the video recieved was enought good with this solution. I don't know if the actual material can do that...

    Thank's

    Hi Billy l'indien
I got the Fx35 and i do recording in HD. Sometimes I fly FPV with the Video signal it provieds. It does work quite well!

What kind of Airplane is it? By the way great video!

It's a home made plane made with foam board. I made about six iterations and lots of modifications starting with a slow stick.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Amazing stuff here, I'm really impressed with your videos. The Sanyo really appears to blow the KX191 out of the water. I fly with the 191 your videos are amazing. I'm from just past Leesburg so these videos are tons of fun to watch, not to mention I went to VT. Thanks and keep up the quality videos.

Thanks for the Comments Nathan. The Sanyo is a large camera made for recording home movies in HD. At the time I bought it it was the smallest camera of it's type so I shoehorned it on one of my homemade planes and it works well. I've seen videos made with the FX35 mentioned above and believe it to be a solid contender as well as I like the built in wide angle lens. It's the wide angle and small size on the KX 191 type camera that make them so well suited to FPV flying.
