Whitening: A time-lapse experiment
Aysen and I painting the interior window pane in Aysen's studio. The ugly burgundy/brown color was bothering Aysen since she moved in, and finally we got a chance to cover it with white. Took some time-lapse photos of us masking, painting, then finally removing the mask over the course of three days.
Equipment: Canon 40d digital SLR with Canon - EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, and Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lenses. I think the faux hand-held effect worked with the wide angle lens the best. 10 second interval.

Wujek Dobra Rada 1 year agoGreat idea with imitating camera panning and shaking. This movie is composed only from still pictures, not from camcorder, did I understand correctly? Really cool. -
Tuning Slide 1 year agoThanks. And yes, all the shots are taken using a digital SLR, no video. The images were high-res to allow for the zooms and pans, which I added in post using After Effects. The hand-held effect is just a simple wiggle expression in AE, that affects the position and rotation of the camera. I also used a slider controller to amplify the effect for the "close-ups".
