Nice work, I really love the lighting in this. Especially how the LA subway looks with tri-x I gotta try that. I take it you were wide open down there and also did you run into any problems filming on the trains?

WOW. Great use of all elements. The camera, the marco/zoom depth of field, and the LIGHT. You sweetened that Tri-X dimension. One of the best s8 films I've seen yet man. Love your use of the tight shots with the macro, and that ridiculously shallow depth of field.

Like being there. Looking forward to more.

Good transfer too. Even in SD you can pick up all the nuances of the film. Very nice work. Check out the guys at cinelicious.tv for reasonable HD transfers. I've got stuff there now.

Yes...i DO remember you from Fotech. Great film man!! I really like your style of cinematography and editing. It reminds me of the european expressionism films of the early 1960's. It's always amazing to me how much can be relayed in a movie with only music, well shot images, and good editing. This film has all of these. Just out of curiousity...is that the Santa Monica Pier you shot at toward the end of the film?
Just wondering because i've been there only twice and it seems familiar to me.

I love this movie. I'm so obsessed with Super8. I just won a vintage super 8 on ebay and my friend is giving me another camera that is a little more updated.

I'm writing a script now and looking forward to working with Super8 again, like I did when I was younger!

I liked the Tri-X grain and push processing effect. It added to the video. I guess I don't understand what you mean by video quality. Please explain.

Yeah, Joe, I certainly liked hyper grain in this film! I'm talking about the video pixels (visible pixels at some places of the video).

Yes, I agree the video compression is bad, the original file is fine, I don't know how to fix it maybe its just too big a file, thinking about getting an HD transfer.
To Joe: this was processed normally, not pushed.

This is an excellent film. Being that I didn't see any negative comments I think I should say personally the lighting wasn't hard enough for me. But that's just me... otherwise an excellent job.
