1. Autechre - plyPhon
Unofficial-non commercial video for plyPhon, a song from the latest Autechre release, Quaristice.

Every visual element is connected to a sound event; the whole video is intended to be like a sort of virtual score that develops itself in a continued run, according to the music.

without question the syncing is brillant. But somehow it lacks something to be perfect. Maybe the colors? Anyway: great job.
May I ask how you synced? Sound analysis or by handd?

This is a superb piece of work - have you sent it to Autechre? Based on it's originality and superb dynamism, I'd say that they'd be foolish not to buy it from you - or at the very least collaborate in the near future!

Seriously man - I've watched quite a lot of this kind of stuff, but your vision is impeccable.

If you ever want/need to mix what you do with any kind of live footage - drop me a line!

    Keep em coming,

    jason

Terrific! This one video has changed my mind about Vimeo. Well done.

What software did you use and did you hand-sync the elements? What was the inspiration for the different sound objects?

    Keep up the GREAAT work!
  • lucio arese 1 year ago
    thank you very much

the software used is max 9. all the modeling, animation and syncing work is done manually, object after object, frame by frame.

i've tried to materialize as precise as possible the images that this music created in my mind. the idea for the video came to me immediately, first time i listened to the song

  • great. it does owe a lot to rutterford's gantz graf video but it's expertly pulled off and has enough of it's own buzz goin on to keep me engaged. love it. more please.

always on the lookout for unofficial autechre videos, and this one is top notch. visualizing such abstract music must be quite challenging and rewarding. bravo.

this is the most incredble and inspiring piece of work I've seen in a long time, the synaesthetic effect is perfect ... i love the evolution from a gantz-grafian style. i can't believe this isn't their offical video... phenomenal work man!
