He is my aunt & uncles turtle. This guy has been in the family for over 40 years I believe. He was found cruising down the street by my uncles dad. He is pretty tough , we almost lost him when one of their dogs flipped him over in the sun about 10 years ago for who knows how many hours. He will probably out live us all.

I really dislike serpents (or whatever this family of animals is called), but I kinda like turtles. They seem to have more compassion and understanding towards others than the rest of their cousin species.

He seems to have a pretty good appetite! I guess he's on a very healthy diet: lots of carbs!

I love turtles + owls, is he a biter?
  • Lucasberg 4 months ago
Ha, he has been known to nip red painted toe nails probably thinking they were tomatos.

Turtles are so great. Nice video and with the music it seems like some war machine ready for action.... only that speed.... But what about some time remaping :):)

    Cool video.
We have a turtle like that at our house that is i think like 37 years old. Never thought of filmin him though.
Nice work on the video, the music was a pretty funny touch to it too.

    Thanks Nick,
I was watching him cruise around and thought with his detail he might make a good HD video.

40 years in the family. that is way cool. the shot at 1:00 till the end I was thinking looks like a velociraptor. The kids watched it, first thing they said looks like a Dinosaur.

He looks like hes a pretty good size
  • Lucasberg 4 months ago
He is a great pet. It's cool that he was there when I was a kid, and now my kids. He does look raptor-ish. He has been about that size since I can remember.

I'm a big fan of turtles as well. This guy, his eyes are incredible. You rarely see that brightness and depth in animals' eyes.

Damn, that's crazy how old he is and still going! Very cool video. I was surprised he didn't care that you were that close.

Pretty cool, Hey Lucasberg, I just picked my SR12 today, I haven't really played with it yet, however, I just wanted to know how/where do you fix lense to the c.c. sorry if this sounds a bit redundant, I like getting those clear close shots...what is a macro? are they some sort of a lens?
  • Lucasberg 3 months ago
Nice cam. For this one I just zoomed out and got real close. I believe your cam has a sweet macro mode with out any needed lens.

Perfect name for a turtle found cruising up the street! I like how you were able to get that macro feel without actually using those settings. This looks great!

I hope you wiped his mouth off after this. He totally could have used a wet-nap or a little of mama's spit on her finger.

That turtle is FIERCE!! He's tear'n it up. It feels like he is giving the evil eye to those vegetables.
  • Lucasberg 3 months ago
Ya, feeding time is when he perks up.
