    did you just patch in an inline 1/8" jack inside the camera?

    The camera is rather too small to have a 1/8" jack inside the camera, so I attached it to the outside. I've seen some others attach it to the inside though. The 1/8 jack is basically patched into / or replaces the internal microphone capsule.
