the schoeps is great for recording from up to as much as 50 feet from my experience. you can hear from this recording that the children was well handled even with a highway 100 feet away. the cutoff filters built into the schoeps is functional and inside a theatre, even better in its performance.

Thank you for the information, I will be using this mic for my next project. I did some research and I think it suits my needs more than any other mics in the price range.
