Eazy Dolly
A little experiment my Dad and I took on, when I asked him if he could help me build a dolly. A few weeks later I've got a legit dolly and my dad has a new hobby...

The dolly is just genius, and the video too.
What kind of material do you use for the track? Aluminium? And how do you connect them?
Great job - makes me want to get some filming done with my dolly.

after overcoming my initial blinding envy i have watced this a few times and have to say i am really impressed. your dad mustbe a legend.
great clip too.
Thanks for watching.
You mean the 60fps or am I missing something?
:-)
Nice work.
Thanks for watching
Where do i order one???
Love the footage also.
Great Job guys.
Thanks for watching
scene file: film cam, 60 fps
my gamma, and ped are always diffrent from shot to shot.
rec setup: 720 30pn. some 720 60p
If you shoot in 720 30pn, at 60fps, you can speed up the clips twice the speed, it will look closer to normal motion, then to slow it down you just let it go back to it's normal frame rate 60fps. it works pretty good for faster moving stuff.
I failed english....
My pops would be happy.
that edit is awesome
There's a new guy there his name Is Chirs Rey, he'll be holding it down, there new video was awsome!
anyways, i want one.. but i'll need to send two payments because i have a $400 daily limit on my debit card. would that be ok?
also, how strong are the tracks. like, lets say i stomped them as hard as i could. would the tracks dent?
The dolly rails are pretty strong, if you stepped on them with your feet it they wouldn't dent, if you drop a board from a few feet above straight on it, it might, but from what hell I've put most the dolly's i've tested through, all i've noticed is they scratch easy.
Just go to the site thats at the end of the commercial, and talk with my dad.
i'll pay in full, i'll just call to assure that my card wasn't stolen or anything.
Thanks for watching,
Jason
Im happy to know people like the dolly, and the little commercial, hopefully my dad can keep himself busy with some of the sales...
Thanks for your words, and for watching.
Jason
any tips to dolly shooting?
oh and i cant decide if i should have osi (steadyshot) on or off, what do you do?
As for dolly shot's, Im not sure, there becoming a dime a dozen...
Time lapse and dolly shot's are pretty fun, it's difficult but rewarding when you get a good one.
whats a avatar?
im just a shitty skater, but i think filming is always different, and people have tastes and that you can get very creative with it. this video is inspiring, not sure why.
I should give song credit's, my bad.
Sorry to all the music I've forgotten...
A friend of mine used the dolly(the old dolly) with that camera and he said it worked out. So my dad re did a few things and made it work even better.
Soon he'll have another dolly style.
your in luck I just talked with my dad today, and he just got done designing a new dolly for a bigger tripod, for a bigger camera. We were thinking about the RED1

but dang the price is just...wow....
awesome video tho
If you bought a $3,000.00 dollar S.D camera, or spent over $5,000 on a H.D camera a $500.00 dollar dolly isnt that bad.
Thats what I think
