I was holding my DIY stabilizer pointed towards myself
Shot 1/100 and 60i w/ wide angle lens adapter

Okay here is what I did for the slow motion in FCP:

Shoot and capture in 60i (standard HDV setting)
Drag into new sequence in Final Cut Pro
Ctrl-click on Sequence in bin-Settings
Change Compressor to 1080p24
Render
Ctrl-click on clip in timeline-Speed-50 percent

Nice smooth slow motion

Next I added a custom Magic Bullet look

Finally, I applied a 2.35:1 widescreen matte

Now, all i need is to receive my Oktava mk012a mic and
finish building my DOF adapter and I'm ready to roll

cool. I presume 60i is the cinema mode setting? I Have the same camera, since this week. Oh and what is the "Magic Bullet look"?

60i is the standard standard HDV setting, Rather than 24p. Cinema mode lowers the contrast to give a film look. I think I have that on to. Magic Bullet is a color grading software plug-in that you can use with Final Cut Pro or After Effects. Good luck with the camera. You'll love it! Ask me any other questions if you need to.
