This clip is a collection of loops created for the thrill.artificialeyes.tv/Freevjloops Series 15 on archive.org , and uses the track Cresta La Wave from Alpine Allstars. The loops were reated and rendered in realtime using the built in dvr at 320x240 pixels motion jpeg a codec at lossless settings.

These are variations of a them on just one object, and uses diffrent draw modes and different light settings to illuminate or hide faces of the objects.

The objects are a dingbat font rendered as a 3d object, and scaled larger on the z axis so that one of the faces is not visible. The object is rotating on it's Z axis. Then, the SCENE SPACE is rotated on it's x axis to change the POV of the object. Variations on the LENS ANGLE and the ZOOM of the camera are used to change the percieved "shape" of the objects.

The varying "depth" appearances of the object are achieved by alternately rendering either just the front faces a as solid, or the front face as a solid and the back face as a wireframe, etc.

The coloring is NOT achieved by using fx. all of the coloring and shading variations are achieved using two different lights with various specular, diffuse, and ambient rgb settings, different positioning. and different SPOT CUTOFF settings. The object itself is actually white..

To get this color intensity, the Source Alpha is set to S color, and the Destination Alpha is set to ONE. The objects also react differently to the lighting settings based on whether the DEPTH is set to on or off.
