Do you know, you can eat the flowers which are shown in the last scene - damn I lost their german name just now so I cannot write the english.

What I meant is nasturtium see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasturtium. SteveR had Zuccini (I think it's the sam name in english as it is an italian plant)
You can't fill nasturtium but you can add it to any salad or as decoration to other "non-fancy-colored" food like f.e. baked beans, marmite toasts, haggis ...

Why do you put your beans into nets? Are the "beanbirds" around, which are specialized in bean-peeling? Otherwise the non-"beanbirds" could help you reducing the black-flies.

And of yourse you should take more care on removing burs, as the will take over your garden, and the neighbours and the whole alotment next year :)

    Haha,
I should have scrolled down to see capuchas comment about capucines, we call it "Kapuzinerkresse" in German.
  • Bill 6 months ago
The nets are to keep the pigeons and cabbage white butterflies out. What are "burs"? Are they going to take over the world?

Your garden is fantastic, and you even have capucines !
  • Capucha plus 6 months ago
how do you call them in english again ?
  • Bill 6 months ago
I had to look it up but they are called Nasturtiums. I had no idea they were called Capucines in France. Thats kinda sweet!
The film was shot over our allotment. I'll show you the garden next.
  • Capucha plus 6 months ago
Yes, Capucine's got a flower name :) Sounds much better in French though, haha ! I'm looking forward to see your garden.

That's it, I'm coming to visit fro drought stricten California. Just think of me as ypur emergency back up mom (or mum).
  • Bill 6 months ago
That means Scruff_E_Guy is my emergency back-up Brother! I like that.
  • OFM 6 months ago
Actually he would be your uncle.
  • Bill 6 months ago
    Im confused.
  • OFM 6 months ago
If I am your back up mother and Scruff is my brother then he would be your back up uncle.
  • Bill 6 months ago
For some reason I thought you were Scruffs Mother! Please excuse me. I'm a bit dim at times.
  • OFM 6 months ago
Okaaay. I suspect Scruff is going to laugh harder at this then I did. Scruff is the baby in the family. He has 3 older sisters.
