PVC track dolly on gravel
My venerable Ford Focus was a subject for this dolly test. The car was parked on gravel, so I used rails made of yet another PVC pipe, but of a thinner one.
Shot with the Canon HF100 in 30p mode. No color correction whatsoever. No sound either.

AVCHD User 12 days agoDid you mean the car? Yep, I like it too. Cheap to buy, maintain and to fill up. I am getting 28-29MPG, it drives really well and because it is a wagon I can transport lots of different stuff, from a plasma TV to different pieces of furniture. Thanks for watching! -
Tek Turbiasz 12 days agoYeah I meant the car too. I have a 09 focus and I love it. Cant beat the gas economy. Compared to my wifes minivan it saves a ton. -
Karl Ribley 12 days agoGuess you need to work on your dolly a little bit more to get that super smooth look. -
AVCHD User 12 days agoNah, I need to work on my skills :-) The really jerky shot was when I tried to move the dolly while rotating the camera on the tripod. Did not come out well. I need a curved track, this way I will not have to turn the camera. Not exactly the same kind of shot, but close enough I think. Also, this was shot in 30p, but Vimeo converts it to 24p, so it looks jerky. Thanks for watching and commenting!
