A second sample of our new timelapse system in London - A frame is captured every 10 seconds providing a view of London's weather running at 30 frames per second.

Its not possible to use a DSLR for automated timelapse's so we are using a waterproofed QuickCam 9000 capturing at 1600x1200 pixels - it currently just a test so any thoughts/comments would be great...

The antenna may be a bit distracting. Really interesting video to see the clouds form and evolve. Keep up this project, if you have the ability to collect all the data :)

DSLR's are perfect for time lapses, you just need to find an intervalometer (gadget that clicks the shutter at regular intervals) that will suit your camera.

    here's a couple of examples:
    pclix from pclix.com/pages/pclix_main.html
    gentLed from gentles.ltd.uk/gentled/

I use a Nikon D80 and hook it up to a Aputure Timer Remote Cord which I found on eBay. This is very easy to use.

Also, try and shoot between 1 to 5 secs delay between shots during daylight as this will make the final video a lot smoother ;-)
