Farine Five Roses | Tonight The Flour is Calling Me
2 months ago
Toujours là en 2008, 60 ans plus tard. Still there in 2008, after 60 years.
(Source : Le Devoir, 19-10-2006).
In 1946, Ogilvie Flour Mills Co. Ltd. opened the New Royal Mill in Montréal. A photograph from 1948 shows the rooftop sign reading 'FARINE OGILVIE FLOUR' on three lines. In 1954, the sign was changed to 'FARINE FIVE ROSES FLOUR'. The English word 'FLOUR' was removed from the sign in 1977. (Source: saveoursigns.org, 2006).
Music: Yesterday's Ring "Fairy Tale Of Montreal" (2005).
