dude that was rocking!!!! you should so make this into a series or somethin'.

    Definitly to cool for skool
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
That would be fun, but it took so long to do. There was a LOT of cutting and pasting and then trying to make the script fit in with how they were speaking (kind of). It probably took longer than necessary because I was trying to teach myself to use iMovie at the same time.

Best one yet! Reminds me of the old firesign theater films like, "J-Men Forever." I gotta try one o' these.
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
Actually you and Remyyy were my inspirations for the work you've both done with old movies. Remyyy with his song remixing, and you with your songs, and of course the retired super heroes.

Firesign theatre films...never have seen those. I love the old "Everything you know is wrong" lp though.

I love the really loud bass. And ' for the benefit of the tape.'
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
Thanks. I didn't think the bass was that loud, do you have the bass turned up on your speakers? Or is the bass on my computer just quite low?

This is so fabulous. It took me 'til about :18 to realize that you were using an American accent. I don't think I would ever have the patience to sit down and cut and paste all that!
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
Oh dear, was my accent that bad?! Sorry about that.
  • duplo 2 years ago
    no, it was pretty good!
  • Jakob Lodwick 2 years ago

Wow man, this is great. Did it take a while to find the footage? Or did you find the footage then write the script to match?

    Great script writing...so funny!
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
It was quite back and forth. I thought of some ideas, then looked for roughly suitable old footage, then wrote the script to fit the characters, then cut clips out that looked like they would fit the script, and then finally modified the wording of the script to fit the lip syncing as best as I could (although by this time I was quite tired which is why it doesn't line up particularly well)! Glad you liked the script :)
  • eat a bug 2 years ago
Wow. And did you do it in one sitting?
  • Buck Flashroy 2 years ago
Yup! Once I get started on a video, I find it very hard to stop until it's finished. I should spread them out over a couple of days really because there is always things I want to add or change after I upload them.
