The whole time, I was quietly saying "don't spill....don't spill......don't spill" and then jumped a little when it happened. Who knew that bread pudding and a pan full of water could evoke such an visceral reaction.

Maybe next time put the pan in, and then fill it with water, when it's already in the oven?
