Azeroth Walk
Hi there,
I suppose you're reading me because you opened this bloc (I hope so..), so let me announce you after my last video "Maraudon - The Last Chance", I'm back with a new video very special which might seem quite odd for most people : "Azeroth Walk" !
First of all, I choosed this title because it sounds really poetic to me "Azeroth Walk". IF you didn't watch the movie yet, you'll understand quite quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to make "all Azeroth"' as the title could mean. I intended to finish the movie in the Undead beginning zone (Brill, etc.), but I just couldn't : I was at half of editing whereas the distance was much too far from where I was.
Now, why is this video so special ? Because I used the "Stop Motion". Just to give you an idea without unleashing all my theories, the "Stop Motion" is a succession of images creating a movie. Possibilities are awesome ! It can allow you to move an unmovable object (like me sleeping over my keyboard after hours of editing for example :P)
But I wanted to do more than taking screenshots : I made a total video synchro with the music just in changing my character animations. I think most of experimented moviemakers will notice this synchro (I hope so), that's why most people will not appreciate this movie, thinking it's quite useless or ugly (but I'm sure you'll see all the work beyond, you favorite reader who read me since quite a moment !)
I'm waiting to see what will be the final result, because I want to break this fashion World of Warcraft moviemaking (especially PvP, this kind of video has no chance that I'd be interested in if I don't see some real editing beyond) proposing other movies which we could call "Underground movies". That's why I honestly encourage a lot of talented moviemakers like Jack, Obilith, Necka, Baron Soosdon, Gemini, Gobbler, Crim, Oxhorn, etc. (sorry for all those I forgot, there is quite a list !) to follow my example, just making something new.
Concerning the video format, it's .mp4 with codec-x264. You can watch this movie by using VLC (which is in the pack). I hope this new format will inspire other people !
Thanks a lot for taking time reading all this. It might not have interested you, but it means a lot to me. Good luck to all GameTV AWARD'07 challengers. I prefer to stay back leaving all chances to young ones.
Special thanks to Crim :)
