This is a technology experiment with my new Canon HV-30 camcorder more than it is a diary entry. I haven't had time to do much with the footage, or had time to even go through all of it. Shot 30p, 1080i. Still working out the export settings.

This is part of a larger Diary Series that started on YouTube (youtube.com/user/alexisstember)

What editing software are you using? there are a few good guides here for exporting for vimeo.

Im still in the process as well of learning the HD workflow.
Just posted my 2nd attempt last night..still quirky in a few places. Look forward to seeing more from ya.

I just saw that guide from Vimeo. Thanks for the tip. Very helpful indeed. I've been editing in iMovie but the export options from that are pretty limiting. I heard Sony Vegas is good, cheap and accessible. Think I'll give it a try. What are you working out of? Checking out your videos... now. :)

Im actually not a vegas fan at all. I just got it because it could see the "avchd" files from my camera without converting them. In the end I think im still going to use a 3rd party for conversion to a more friendly format. Least if you stay shooting 30p for now you have 1 less step you need to worry about. :)
