The return of the F9
Chad called with the news of this trains return. Well it was my wife's birthday that day so instead of going somewhere far we went to Yardly. There the F9 was cut form the consist and put on a track for a yard crew to take. The F9 needed to be turn and then returned back to the person that has this engine on lease.
Sorry no high speed but you will see it and all its detail in this video clip. The original clip leaving town, vimeo.com/1207853
It is amazing that she was willing to hang out and watch this thing roll into the yard ;)

Happy b-day, youg lady :)
And now, watch the choo-choo's going by.
Tech note: Turn down your recording sound level and then the wind noise will be less.... the train will make enough noise even on the low level.
I am thinking about the R0DE StereoVideoMic.
The wind will always create problems and you have to get a 'dead cat' cover.

Don't have a cover on this one...
buy it here: videodirect.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SMX10&Category_Code=AZSGZM
I paid almost $100 for it but cheaper here.
If you get a longer mike it will hang into the wide angle shots. This one is about right.
Whatever you do... don't get a Rode or Canon !
Theyre junk.
Go an test them yourself and don't believe anyone :)
here's a test: vimeo.com/973392
then more of them.... vimeo.com/videos/search:azden
This guy is not biased... vimeo.com/850530
