At around 1:16, when you repeatedly show the robot's legs walking in air, and those notes play... I just picture a little kid screaming with laughter. Kids love repetition!

    THE BACKSTORY:

Me and my friend Sean were in the middle of putting together Issue number 1 of Biddy Beat Magazine. The name of the cat is Beat. The Biddy part came from the sound the robot from Buck Rogers made "Biddy biddy biddy biddy".

The orginal reason I put this footage together was that the robot and the cat had this kind of relationship where Beat just wanted to stay inside but the curious robot always wanted to be outside exploring. One day Biddy got out and later he tells Beat the story of what he saw that day.

There is a part 2 to this piece in which Beat does finally get out and experiences nothing but hell and catches a disease and dies. (Beat actually did die shortly after this was shot)

But then I thought, wow that's a sucky description, no?

Biddy Beat magazine only had 1 issue. But it was a great little issue. I'd rather remember it as the time we made that great little zine.

That is a great video. I love the part(s) where you spin around the cat and then it looks right into the camera like a sophisticated young man (or lady).

BEato was the man. The only cat I really dug. But I'm allergic to cats. Still he was very videogenic.

This is great. It made me travel far away from my pc screen. Thanks.
I agree with the people above, that cat is a star!
