Very cool. Need some fruits to sweeten the deal.

Man! When someone invents an organic Reese's Peanut Butter Cup bush I'm chucking it all and becoming a farmer full time.

Mickey your pieces are really well done. I've watched the 3 you've posted and thanks to Dalas for bringing me to them. I really dig where you are going with these series of films. I remember when my parents, having come from the Philippines and lived off the land, they had grown their own vegetables and fruits in their yet new suburban American home. It was a small piece of land and they were probably the only ones on the street or neighborhood that did this. This was how they did things where they were from and it was amazing.

My parents, with their old age and a busy lifestyle, came the convenience of the Safeway just minutes away. They aren't as lucky as some of us to live near a 'Wholefoods' type of store to buy organic or free-range goods. But they can still grow Papayas, Mangos, any type of vegetable. My grandma is actually the one doing this now as she has all the time in the world. I am not a person who grows all the food I eat. But in some kind of following of traditions and ideals me and my girlfriend (who's parents also lived off the land by raising and slaughtering their own goats for meat, milk, cheese and grew their own vegetables) have taken steps to hopefully grow some (not all or most) of the food that we will consume. We just got a house that has a pretty decent sized yard, enough to grow vegetables and whatever fruits our Northwest climate will give us. We'll see. Your films are inspiring.
