Made these for the guys at vimeo. They will be used to the beginning of tutorial videos.

It would be great if everyone made some of their own, too!

The first torso is my boyfriend, second is a friend of mine, third is my roommate and they are all wonderful for ebing patient with me.

Also thanks to beaglebot for the help on some of the sound effects.

*SOUND IS FIXED! Much better, huh?

They all looked great, but the paper one stands out the most. Duplo rules!

The sound on the original file does sound a lot better.

You have to watch the QuickTime version, the Flash version has a messed up framerate.
  • Jakob Lodwick 1 year ago
Yeah, we're trying some stuff -- I think the high frequencies did a number on the transcoder.
  • Jakob Lodwick 1 year ago
Ok, fixed it - the problem was the original audio track was 48.000khz. The new one is 44.100khz, which the transcoder handles fine.
  • Eric Lodwick 1 year ago
    Now that's what's cool!

Great effects/ pictures, the music is strange, but wakes you(me) up. Think Ill download the original to check this out.

Your boyfriends shirt shouldnt have the Bayer logo.

    Really nice!
Did you stop motion or composite it?
  • duplo 1 year ago
I did a set of stop motion shots of the people and a set of the candy/paper/yarn and then composited them in photoshop.
  • Paul McClintock 1 year ago
Thats amazing, you can't even tell.
  • Golgottan 1 year ago
    That's what I thought.
You should try to get After Effect (as you wished it for X-mas), you could do whatever your imagination tells you thanks to it.
Go have a look to "Had it all".
    I used After on it.
You are really gifted and creative, congratulation. Keep on editing good stuff!

Has problems with jitter, but those logos are awesome. I can't decide whether I like the paper or the candy one better.

The paper one is my favourite.

By the way, are they paying you to do this or are you doing it out of the goodness of your heart? Because this is certainly worth money.

Never thought of doing it that way, but makes a lot of sense. Very nice work. Got my mind buzzing with possibilities now. I thought you keyed it out in FCP.

The quicktime is a much better watch as well.
