See all Show me
This study intends to cast aside the preconceived ideas about how people visually represent sound, and investigate what simple geometric shapes, sizes and colours are associated with certain dynamic elements of sound.
The aim was to record the visualisations experienced by people and use this data to create real-time visual animations. This process should allow animations to be created that are to some extent, related to the internal visual experience.

The idea was to create an installation where individual's results are projected onto semi-frosted glass orbs acting as the 'inner eye'. A mock-up of the installation can be seen in the thumbnail. For showing in 2d I have simply tiled the results to form a collage.
