Canon FS 100 Lens Filter Fix
Sorry folks but rushing and batteries in Canon a520 were bad so vid is out of focus but still useful I hope to ya.
Canon left off threads to attach a protective filter!
If ANYTHING gets down there the camcorder is ruined.
This works for me. Bought at Best Buy. UV filter by
Sunpack. $10. 34mm/37. Shipping tape or scotch tape will secure it to the camera just fine. Just be sure smear, dust, water is not on the filter. Will show up on your vid.

David Falkner 5 months agoI work at best buy - great! I have the FS20 which is almost the same as the FS100. I think I will either "make" threads on the camera (force a 34.5mm on), or adhere a 34mm-52mm "step-up" ring adapter. So I can use my Pentax M42 filters on it. I've been taping 52mm Circular Polarizers on the camcorder. So far so good.
