Excellent... good morphing... that must have taken a lot of planning and time.

Curious... what software did you use?

I have tried this morphing technique before and none of what I have achieved has come to this level of quality using After Effects... my guess is that ...1) I don't know how to do this effectively... or) After Effects is not the best morphing software.... If I was to guess, the reason is number 1.

If possible, any brief tips, hints or references as to how you did this would be appreciated.

Again... good work of art... I like it.

Nice, just saw PBS special on Mary Pickford. Only wish you had Louise Brooks.

    Really impressive! :)
Maybe you should show the actual faces a little longer, maybe two or three seconds. The morphing is great, but over the whole video you see the faces almost only in the process of morphing. The "result" of each morph is shown a little too short for my taste.
    But great work anyway!

Wow, I love it! Terrific idea. I like the way you registered on the facial features, surprising how constant those were, the stylistic changers were mostly in the broader facial outlines. I would have been tempted to reduce the short holds to keep more of a flowing motion, but I understand the need to not be morphing all the time. Did you also try this as x-dissolves only? Something like this would be a good piece for one of the big awards shows. Yeah, I missed Louise Brooks too. Some great things there, I liked the Marilyn to Grace Kelley transition a lot. Kudos!

Pretty cool. And yet, somehow a little creepy.

  • That was amazing! I loved the morphing technique. Really takes a lot of brainpower to figure out the faces when watching... I love it :)

Mesmerizing! The eyes capture you as the rest washes over. Comes across as a real labour of love which is another reason I like it.
Thought it couldn't be improved until I checked out your 'Men In Film' which, dare I say it, works even better.

Really impressive morphing! I especially enjoyed the beginning. The pace was perfect and the transitions so seamless. Later, the shifts were more drastic and faster... maybe due to available material. But overall, there's a kind of "breathing" to the presentation that works. I like it! :-)
