Movietime/Videoactive
Before E! Entertainment Television, the cable channel existed as Movietime. (late 80's?). I lived in L.A.
then, working as a stage manager and prop guy
on game shows and sit-coms. That's also when and where I started my "career" as a documentary film maker. So, here I am with some guy named Greg on a show on Movietime to discuss two of my L.A. docs, "Bombing L.A." a graffiti documentary and "Justiceville" which had then just come out on VHS. The show was called Videoactive and featured new home video releases. Can you say precursor (for Greg) to Talk Soup/The Soup? And yes, I am wearing suspenders.
Remember it was the 80's.
