Decided to try a sunset time lapse on the EX1. Video was sped up 300% in post since I didn't calcuate the actual time I'd want the footage to move at.

I thought it came out fairly well.

Absolutely gorgeous! Great Job! I'm working on a shoot right now and I'm using a sony HVR V1U and I was trying to get a time-lapse sequence shot using the in camera ability and the result was piss poor. It just seemed jerky. probably since the camera doesn't record single frames but rather a whole second of video. I use FCP. Did you just edit the speed and literally change it from 100% to 300? if so then maybe that's what I need to look into doing next.

I set the camera to record 3 frames every 10 seconds. I then dropped that into the timeline, sped it up 300%, and rendered out. This is what I got.

The V1U is a good camera. Should be able to do a nice timelapse I would think.
