The official music video for the composition "Green" from the Homeless Balloon CD "Travel in Silence". - I shot the video as 720p50 with the Sony XDCAM EX-1 and edited it in FinalCutPro6. I converted from 720p50 to MPeg4 H.264, 25 fps, datarate max 15,8 mbps, 1280x720 pixels and the size of the file became 246 Mbyte which I uploaded to Vimeo. The music is available for purchase at the official artist page of Homeless Balloon.

Mate you need to crush those blacks to wind up the contrast, high sat profile at +99, blacks at around 35-40....then your shots will ping.

I'll try that next time, but I want the images to look as realistic as possible. Crushing up the colors and contrast too much is not what I prefer personally. Still, I agree that some parts of the video look a little "pale". - By the way, what settings would you use on the EX-1 if you should have recorded these shots? It was a cloudy day, just a little sun getting through now and then, middle of the day.

Shoot with a polarizer , this is a number one must for the EX1 during the day....I live in melbourne...4 seasons in one day, so a polarizer becomes a "must have" item in the kit. And it would really give you a shine to the water.For doco or film work I have a much less saturated , more steel like, setting. Looks awesome...but outside , polarize it and hi sat gamma...if +99 is to much , wind down between 50-70.I have seen some really washed out images out of the EX1....awesome camera...but you have to tweak it to make it shine.White balance is also a major player. vimeo.com/1484620 watch this video to see what I mean....I am happy to help anyway I can
