My brother has been homeless on and off for many years. One year my mom and I found him....that's really a miracle. It was winter, an inch or so of snow on the ground...my brother had no shoes on, just socks!!! His shoes had been stolen. My heart was so broken!

I am the Sr. Pastor's wife of the Rock Church. My heart has been so moved by my brothers story that I feel I must help others like him. So my church and I collected over 250 pairs of shoes for them. We have also collected coats and water.

Many people don't know the statistics - 40% of all homeless men are veterans! 25% of all homeless people are mentally ill! It's time we all step up and take care of our veterans and those who cannot take care of themselves. I am praying also that our government will get involved!

***Outreach to the homeless in Nashville***
The Rock Church of Columbia, TN, joined Layman Lessons Ministries on the streets of Nashville. Layman ministries feeds, clothes, teaches the Word of God to the homeless every Saturday! They also have a program for the men to go through...it is really amazing what God is doing through these men and women of God!

Todd and I are so proud of our church too, we had over 30 people come and help. They donated over 250 pairs of shoes and hundreds of bottles of water. They fed the homeless too! I love our church family!!!!
