Self Portrait - Corleone Enforcer, The Godfather Game on the Xbox 360
1 year ago
By Marque Cornblatt
This short clip is taken from a 40 minute video recording of a recent performance that took place within The Godfather video Game, on the Xbox 360.
In the performance, the main character is being controlled, while all the other characters onscreen are parts of the game program.
In the game, the performer's virtual self was never able to break away from the limitations of the mafia culture into which he was thrust. He is a tough, intimidating alpha male, and all the other characters in the game are programmed respond accordingly. Even the act of strolling across Manhattan becomes a potentially explosive act, regardless of the performer's intent.
